3-YEAR-OLDS

In the three-year-old program students learn all 26 letters and their sound as well as counting to 30 and identifying and understanding concepts of numbers 1-15.  Students also begin the early stages of writing by focusing on fine motor skills using manipulatives and interactive centers. 

 

Teachers focus on proper hold in writing and coloring by using triangular crayons to aid in mastery of this skill.  Students in the three-year-old class develop independence, listening skills, and direction following through both teacher-led instruction & student choice play-based learning centers. Three-year-olds grow socially by learning to communicate with their peers and teachers.
